My wife and I hired Eliza Williams through Doula Nathalie and she was wonderful. She really met us where we were and provided the support and guidance we needed during a challenging pregnancy. We are first-time parents and Eliza was there for us every step of the way and helped ease our anxieties around the birth process. Eliza checked in on us throughout the pregnancy and was there for us after our baby son was born. I highly recommend Eliza for anyone looking to have a partner in their corner during this process.

I was lucky enough to have Eliza as my doula and I cannot express how much. I appreciated her during the most vulnerable moments of my life. She was calm, genuine and professional throughout our time together and she made me feel comfortable and safe before, during and after labor. My husband and I truly cannot put into words how grateful we are for Eliza helping us bring our first baby into this world! As a pediatrician I have a strong medical background, thus I was looking for a Doula that was up-to-date on evidence based methods to help me with labor and delivery, as well as someone who is genuinely warm and understanding and comfortable in the medical environment. All of this was exactly what Eliza brought to the table. I interviewed several Doulas looking for the perfect one, especially this being my first baby. Eliza interviewed with such confidence and a grounding presence, she has the training and the knowledge to back up her statements and is extremely sweet and kind and reassuring, I absolutely appreciated her fund of knowledge and familiarity with labor and delivery as a whole. As a doctor, I felt extremely confident in her taking the reins for me and letting me just be a mom. At our prenatal visit she was absolutely amazing in teaching me and my husband everything we could do at home to labor in comfort, she taught my husband so many techniques and followed up with emails full of resources. She helped me stay on top of my diet and lifestyle changes that would ensure a positive delivery experience. She was available 24/7 via text for any questions leading up to my delivery and often checked in. The day I went into labor is a day that I will truly always remember Eliza for, her presence was a beacon of light in the delivery room! She came in with all the tools she needed and the confidence/cadence of a sports coach, and made sure that my delivery was exactly as we had gone over in my birth plan during our prenatal session. She advocated for me and helped me labor exactly how she knew I would want. She also provided the warmth of a true friend, and I felt like I could confide in her. She was hands-on and took initiative. I just loved having her around me in those moments. She even constantly checked in on my husband and it truly felt like they were partners on a team, along with me and my care team. My nurses trusted her fully and she and them kept a very open and positive relationship, my entire care team at the hospital raved about her. When baby came she helped me have the most beautiful golden hour and start breast-feeding right away. Postpartum, she continued to check in and assure that I was doing well. I will never ever ever forget Eliza for giving me the most precious gift on this earth and helping me achieve it on my terms, she is an absolute gem and I can’t wait to work with her again!

Eliza saved the day! She was helpful in outlining a birth plan with me, recommending some exercises to prepare me for labor and really stepped up in the hospital to be my voice. She’s an excellent Massuse and i loved the essential oils she used. She was a comforting listening ear throughout labor and delivery. I highly recommend working with her and getting the TENS unit. Much better than my the first delivery without a doula. Thank you!

Balanced Birth Support connected me with Eliza, who was my doula for the birth of my first child. During our first meeting, we created a birth plan together, which was reassuring and helped me feel more prepared. She stayed in regular contact with me during my last 8 weeks of pregnancy and shared suggestions that made me more comfortable at the end. On the day of my delivery, Eliza was constantly working to make sure that I was comfortable, provide appropriate positions (which at several points I know moved my baby along), and had a great rapport with the medical team. She was a very calm and warm presence during a stressful day.

If you are uncertain about working with a doula, note that my husband was initially skeptical but is now proudly "Team Doula." Also, I didn't realize how little time nurses spend with the laboring patient so Eliza was critical for keeping an eye on where I was in labor and providing appropriate next steps. You won't regret working with Eliza.

Eliza supported my husband and I through the birth of our first child! It was a delight to work with her from prenatal meetings to postpartum. She struck a key balance for us because she provided professional guidance while also making sure to ask us follow up questions and clarify all our intentions for the birth. We also really appreciated her consistency! She responded to all questions and requests in a timely manner. Eliza guided us through a tricky labor in which my waters broke but my contractions didn’t start. She kept me moving through a long battle with pitocin contractions and did an excellent job equipping my husband to be very present and confident throughout the labor. It means so much to me that in times of doubt, she reminded me of my intentions. I’ve enjoyed reflecting on my birth experience with her over the past week, celebrating the beauty of it and laughing at the unexpected moments! I pray that one day everyone would get the kind of care we received with Eliza.

Eliza is amazing!
We had our first child in July and Eliza’s support made a huge positive impact on our experience. We met with her a few times before our birth and at each meeting she took the time to talk through the birth process, how we could prepare, and what was important to us. She shared resources with us that helped us prepare for birth and talked to us about things we wouldn’t have thought of without her.
Her presence and support during my labor kept my husband and I calm and centered during a chaotic time and I truly believe my birth experience would have been really tough without her.
Eliza was caring and supportive and we would highly recommend her. It is obvious she cares about what she does and that reflects in the support she provides!
